It also explains the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rieraconsulting.es\/europa-da-la-razon-a-riera-consulting-en-su-denuncia-contra-la-discriminacion-fiscal-a-funcionarios-de-la-ue-en-espana\/\"><strong>complaint V\u00edctor Riera filed with the European Commission in 2020<\/strong><\/a> against the tax discrimination suffered in Spain by EU officials, UN staff, other international agents and digital nomads, who are denied tax benefits that other residents enjoy: the main-home exemption in Wealth Tax, the reductions in Inheritance and Gift Tax, no deemed income on the home in personal income tax, and the rollover relief when the main home is sold and the proceeds reinvested.<\/p>\n<p>The article also covers the firm&#8217;s work on the taxation of international civil servants&#8217; pensions, commissioned by the Spanish Association of International Civil Servants (AFIE), the opening of offices in Madrid and Barcelona, and the roll-out of artificial intelligence across the firm.
